NEW Shoreline Mastercard® Debit Card Starting June 5th
We are upgrading our debit cards, to continue keeping Shoreline Credit Union ahead of technology. This is a project that will take place from May to June 5th. Upgrade highlights include increased card limits, contactless tap to pay, and over 30,000 in-network ATMs.
When activating the card, it will ask for the “Primary cardholder’s information” this is the information of the person whose name is on the card, not necessarily the primary member on the account.
What is changing?
We are updating our debit cards. Other services like your accounts, loans, directed deposits, etc. will all stay that same, and will not need any updating, or work from you.
When will the new card be able to be used?
The new cards can first be used June 5th, but can be activated and the PIN set up any time before. Please activate it early, so the card is ready to use when you need it on June 5th.
What number do I call to activate the card and set the PIN?
Can I turn my card off and on for safety?
Yes, with the new cards, in the mobile app, go to the “More” menu, then click the “Manage my Cards” bubble. There you can slide the switch from active to temporarily inactive. This does not replace reporting a card as lost or stolen, it is a soft way to secure the card when not using it.
How can I set up the card and set the PIN?
Call the number on the sticker on the front of the card. During the call, activate the card and set up the PIN.
Can I use the same PIN as my old card?
Yes, you can use the same PIN as your old card, but it does not carry over from the old card. So you will need to set a PIN up during the activation call.
Will I need to update any automatic payments?
Yes, all automatic payments that are connected to your debit card will need to be updated with your new debit card information. This does not include any payments set to come directly out of your credit union deposit account. On your statement, look for transactions that are current and start with “DBT” as opposed to “ACH”.
What if I have any pending payments during the changeover?
Any payments that had an authorization run before June 5th will continue to go through, any payment scheduled for after the switch will need to be updated.
Do I need to update any digital wallets and when?
Yes, the card will be completely different numbers, so any shopping sites, or payment apps that you have, you will need to delete your old card and add the new cardon June 5th.
Do I need to do anything about the card changing from Visa to Mastercard?
No, the card is now by Mastercard, and is accepted everywhere Mastercard is accepted. Moving from a Visa vendor was necessary, and will now afford you newer features.
What do I do with my old card?
After June 5th, either shred the card, or bring it in, and Shoreline can securely destroy it.
Did my daily limits change?
Yes, they all increased:
ATM transactions now have their own separate limits from merchant debit transactions
ATM withdrawals are up to $620 per day, and up to 12 transactions per day
PIN/“Debit” transactions: $5,000 per day, up to 25 transactions per day
Signature/“Credit” transactions: $6,000 per day, up to 30 transactions per day
Will the new card have contactless tap to pay?
Yes. Anywhere that you see a symbol like this, the card can use its contactless chip. We encourage our members to use Contactless as a safer, more secure method of transacting at your favorite businesses.
Will I be able to get same day replacement with the new cards in the future?
Yes, if anything happens to your card, and a new one needs to be created, we can create them in person at the branches.
Will there be any fraud protection on the new cards?
Yes, we will be upgrading the current fraud prevention system to include a proactive fraud prevention system.
What ATMs will I be able to use the card at free of network charges?
Shoreline Credit Union is proud to partner with one of the largest network of ATMs available, with 30,000 ATMs throughout all 50 states and 10 countries, free of charge to our members. Look for any of these icons. As well as use the find an ATM tool. https://co-opcreditunions.org/locator/?ref=co-opatm.org&sc=1

Whom do I call for questions related to my debit card?
If you have questions about activating your new debit card, not receiving your new debit card, new features or using your new debit card, your name is misspelled on the card, or if there are any other issues with the card, please contact: 920-482-3783.
Who do I call if there is Fraud on my card?
Contact our fraud department about potentially fraudulent charges, please note the new number is: 1-888-241-2440
How will I be alerted if there is potential fraud on my card?
The fraud system will rate each transaction based on the potential for fraud, and pending the potential severity, it will act accordingly. Cases will start with a text and email alert. If there is no response, it will escalate to a call. Pending the severity, the call may be prioritized, as well as deciding if the card should be preemptively locked, or await member confirmation.
