This year, Shoreline Hometown Credit Union has two open board member seats. Below is a list of the candidates and a short bio of each candidate.

Gretchen Bauknecht-Pech has been on Shoreline Credit Union’s Board of Directors since 2010, at which time she also became Board Treasurer. After several years, she was elected to serve as Vice Chair, until 2016 when she was elected to her current position of Board Chair.
A graduate of Roncalli High School and Silver Lake College, Gretchen has lived in Manitowoc County most of her life. Gretchen is married to Jonathan Pech and is the daughter of Joe and Sally Bauknecht. She is currently employed with Allied Universal at Point Beach Nuclear Plant. Gretchen enjoys traveling with her husband and family, working on cars, fishing, and knitting.
Excited about the future of Shoreline Credit Union, Gretchen is seeking re-election to the Board of Directors to continue her commitment to helping Shoreline grow as a preferred financial institution and integral part of the Manitowoc County community.
Sharon Tome was employed at Shoreline Credit Union for over 30 years, most recently retiring as CEO.
During her career, Sharon attended many educational programs to further her education including the Credit Union Leadership Certificate Program and CUNA Management School, in Madison. During her employment she served on the Services Council of the Wisconsin Credit Union League and was a strong credit union activist.
Sharon was a member (past board member) of the Kiwanis Club in Two Rivers for over fourteen years. In Kiwanis, she was the chairperson for the Youth Committee and chair of the Audit Committee. She is also treasurer of Kites Over Lake Michigan and a volunteer of the AARP Tax Aide program in Two Rivers. She is also a past board member of Rogers Street Fishing Village and the TRBA.
Sharon loves spending time with her family (son, daughter, son-in-law and four grandchildren). She also enjoys traveling with her three sisters. In her free time, Sharon can be seen enjoying the outdoors, either biking, walking or attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
